Trainee solicitors
Triay & Triay is one of the few Gibraltar firms recognised and authorised by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority in England ("SRA") as a training establishment for the purpose of training trainee solicitors to qualification as English solicitors.
As a trainee, you will gain experience in at least 3 areas of practice. Trainees normally undertake 3 seats as part of their training spending up to 8 months under the supervision of a particular partner and then moving to another seat under the supervision of a different partner. We believe this gives a trainee the opportunity to gain a wide variety of experience in different areas of practice undertaken by the firm.
Who are we looking for?
We aim to recruit trainees with strong academic qualifications from a wide range of universities in England as well as elsewhere. We like trainees to demonstrate strong communication skills and a firm commitment to excellence.
Applications for a training contract
We are authorised by the SRA to take up to 2 trainees at any one time, and generally do so on a rolling programme.
We are not currently accepting applications for training contracts at this time, although we would expect to advertise for such in early March 2010 for the September 2010 ´intake´. Please watch the website and The Gibraltar Chronicle for an advertisement.
To apply, for a training contract please send a covering letter and CV addressed to Mark Truman-Davies, Triay & Triay, 28 Irish Town, Gibraltar.
Law Students
Triay & Triay also undertakes a summer placement scheme for students currently undertaking law degrees. Applications for summer placements in 2010 should be made by CV and covering letter addressed to Mark Truman-Davies. Again, this year´s application window will be advertised in March 2010.
