STUDENT REVIEWS

"I would just like to say a big thankyou to yourself and your colleagues for putting on an invaluable opportunity for students like me. I thoroughly enjoyed the placement and learnt a lot from it, and despite it being remotely done, I do not believe this reduced my learning potential or what I gained from the placement in the slightest. So again, thankyou to all of you for still going ahead with it this year, I really enjoyed it.

With regards to overall comments on the placement (that I am happy for you to include in any written piece - whether my comments in this email or from my feedback document, and am happy for you to mention my name) I would say:

The 2020 Triay Summer Placement offered a great opportunity to gain an insight into the firm and some of their practice areas. Despite the placement being remote, I do not believe this decreased my overall experience in the slightest and in fact, I potentially learnt more than had I been in the office. This is because my peers and I were not able to as easily bounce off each other for help (in comparison to if we were all in the office), therefore in the feedback for the tasks, we had more interesting and valuable discussions as we may have come to different conclusions with our work. Working with my peers and members of the firm on tasks in the areas of Financial Services, Property, Dispute Resolution, Family and ending the week with a virtual Moot, was a greatly rewarding and enlightening experience that I am grateful to have been a part of."
