Dhiraj is an Associate and forms part of the Dispute Resolution team, with a wide litigation practice.
He is frequently instructed on matters of personal injury & clinical negligence and on matters of commercial litigation. He also regularly advises on wide range of litigious matters including contractual disputes, trust disputes, debt recoveries, property disputes, landlord & tenant matters, professional negligence, judicial review and police misconduct and has experience in company and insolvency applications. He frequently appears in the Supreme Court of Gibraltar. He is also familiar with regulatory proceedings and processes.
Dhiraj is well acquainted with various methods of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and is regularly instructed to take part in Joint Settlement Meetings and Mediations on behalf of clients. He has experience in other cost-effective options of ADR such as Early Neutral Evaluation and Expert Determination and is able to advise on a range of out-of-court settlement options and pragmatic solutions to disputes.
Dhiraj also advises on the administration of estates and has experience in probate claims. He is regularly instructed in connection with lasting powers of attorney.
Dhiraj read European Law at the University of Warwick, studying for a year at Université Lille II, France, where he developed a good understanding of civil law systems. He completed the BPTC at City Law School, London, and was called to the Bar of England & Wales by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in 2015. Dhiraj is fluent in English and Spanish, and proficient in French.
