Sebastian Triay is a senior associate and forms part of the Dispute Resolution Team, dealing with a wide range of instructions, and with a particular focus on Commercial Litigation.
Sebastian is regularly instructed in complex claims and has appeared in both the Court of Appeal and the Privy Council.
His experience extends to claims against banking institutions for breach of duty/dishonest assistance, as well high-value trust litigation.
Seb is also especially experienced in various insolvency actions. In this regard, he has formed part of the team who has acted for the liquidator of Enterprise Insurance -the largest financial services liquidation in Gibraltar – and various claims that have arisen as a result of the insolvency.
Aside from commercial litigation, Sebastian is frequently instructed in matters of general civil litigation ranging from class actions in respect of debt recovery to landlord and tenant disputes.
Sebastian attended Northumbria University, graduating with LL.B. (Hons) in Law in May 2015 and completing his Legal Practice Course. He joined the firm in September of the same year and was called to the Bar in Gibraltar in November 2016 upon completing his training contract. He was appointed a senior associate of the firm in 2021.
