Called to the Bar in 1975, Haresh became a QC in 1998.
Haresh is a member of Lincoln’s inn and was called to the Bar of England & Wales and to the Gibraltar Bar in 1975, whereupon he began his legal career at Triay. After 6 years, he left to set up his own practice which he ran for over 33 years, during which he ‘took Silk’ in 1998 and served as Speaker of the Gibraltar Parliament from 2004 to 2012. His succession planning brought him back to Triay and with him a mine of knowledge and experience in a wide area of law.
Haresh specialises in corporate/commercial and property transactions, involving business start-ups, the sale/purchase of businesses and leases/conveyances of commercial and residential properties. His expertise with ‘bricks and mortar’ and knowledge of town planning matters saw him serve as a member of the Development Appeals Tribunal for about 8 years until 2013.
Haresh is also regularly engaged in dispute resolution including judicial review and mediation/arbitration/litigation in contentious civil, employment and corporate/commercial matters and issues between landlord and tenant.
