Triay Lawyers announces the appointment of 3 Senior Associates

Introduction

Triay is delighted to announce the appointment of Chris Davis, Dhiraj Nagrani and Sebastian Triay as senior associates.

Director Melo Triay commented, “We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dhiraj, Chris and Sebastian as senior associates. Dhiraj, Chris and Sebastian continue to deliver an excellent service to our clients and their appointment is a recognition of that fact.”

Biographies

Chris, Dhiraj and Sebastian joined Triay in 2015 and were called to the Bar in 2016.

Chris forms part of the Corporate & Commercial and Financial Services teams with a particular speciality in data protection legislation and now GDPR. He has advised on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters including the sale of a major retail bank in Gibraltar. Chris is well known for his work on the merger and acquisition of financial institutions. His clients include a world-class luxury resort hospitality company and a global multi-line reinsurer.

Dhiraj forms part of the Dispute Resolution team and has developed a strong reputation in respect of personal injury & clinical negligence matters. More recently Dhiraj has assisted as junior barrister in a major insurance dispute in the Supreme Court. Dhiraj also regularly advises on a wide range of litigious matters including commercial matters, contractual disputes, trust disputes, debt recoveries and property disputes. Dhiraj frequently appears in the Supreme Court. Dhiraj additionally sits on the board of the Gibraltar Law Council.

Sebastian forms part of the Dispute Resolution team and focuses on commercial litigation. Sebastian has acted in claims against banks following the collapse of a law firm and more recently has been very involved in numerous insolvency proceedings, including Gibraltar’s largest ever insolvency and the claims that followed as a result. He has acted in respect of claims in the Court of Appeal in Gibraltar and the Privy Council.
