The Gibraltar Digital and Crypto Fund Conference organised by Informa Connect and supported by GFIA and GANT, was held on Thursday 14th September 2023, at the Sunborn Hotel. Triay was a key sponsor of the event and we were delighted to have Partner Jay Gomez participate as one of the moderators.

The conference commenced with James Lasry, Chairman of the Gibraltar Funds & Investment Association (GFIA), extending a warm welcome to the attendees. The Hon. Albert Isola, Gibraltar's Minister for Digital and Financial Services, took the stage to elucidate Gibraltar's regulatory stance on Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), showcasing the jurisdiction's dedication to establishing a robust regulatory framework for the industry. The Minister emphasized Gibraltar's role as a prominent hub for the digital asset sector.
William Gracia, Head of DLT & Markets at the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission, provided comprehensive insights into Gibraltar's regulatory landscape, reinforcing the territory's position as a leader in regulatory innovation.
Jay Gomez expertly moderated a panel discussion on "Harnessing Future Opportunities within Digital Assets." This session featured prominent industry figures Sean Kiernan, CEO of Greengage; Matthew Low, Head of Special Projects at Fasanara; and Vadim Filippov, Head of Product & DeFi at CoinChange. The panel explored exciting prospects in the digital asset space, aligning Triay Lawyers with the forefront of discussions on industry trends and innovation.
The conference is testament to the role Gibraltar has in the the Digital and Crypto Fund space and provided a platform to showcase industry insights to create a holistic perspective on the evolving landscape of digital assets and blockchain technology.
