Alan Buchanan

Alan moved to Gibraltar and joined Triay previously Triay & Triay in September 2008 following his qualification as a Northern Irish solicitor in 2003. Alan is a Director in the Corporate & Commercial and Financial Services teams.

Alan specialises in corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). He has developed an excellent reputation as a leading lawyer in this sector and regularly works on international high value transactions, advising on a full range of corporate, commercial and financing matters including acquisition and project financings (including aircraft and ship finance), leveraged, asset-based, syndicated, secured and multi-currency lending, capital markets transactions, working capital facilities and structuring, takeovers, management buy-outs, buy-ins, shareholders’ disputes, joint ventures, franchising and commercial agency. Alan has additional expertise in employment law and advises on employment law matters within a commercial context.

Alan has also gained a wealth of experience in the Financial Services sector and, as part of our Financial Services practice, regularly advises on insurance and associated regulatory matters.

Alan forms part of Triay’s management committee which has responsibility for the day-to-day management of the firm.
