Dhiraj is an Associate and forms part of the Dispute Resolution team.
Dhiraj’s main practice area is civil litigation. He is frequently instructed on matters of personal injury and clinical negligence, and regularly advises on general civil matters such as contract disputes and property disputes. He has also assisted on a number of high value commercial claims. Dhiraj additionally advises on matters of professional negligence, judicial review, landlord & tenant disputes, company applications, police misconduct and employment matters. He appears frequently in the Supreme Court of Gibraltar. He is also familiar with regulatory proceedings and processes.
Dhiraj is also well acquainted with various methods of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and regularly instructed to take part in Joint Settlement Meetings and Mediations on behalf of clients. He is also familiar with other cost-effective options of ADR such as Early Neutral Evaluation and Expert Determination and is able to advise on a wide range of out-of-court settlement options and pragmatic solutions to disputes.
Dhiraj read European Law at the University of Warwick, graduating in 2014, and studied for a year at Université Lille II as part of his degree, developing a good understanding of French law and civil law systems. He completed the BPTC at City Law School, London, and was called to the Bar of England & Wales by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in 2015. He joined the Firm in September 2015. Dhiraj is proficient in French, and fluent in Spanish.
